General Terms & Conditions

This agreement is entered into between the client booking the photography session (referred to as the "Client") and Leigh Dedhar Photography (referred to as the "Photographer").

1. Cancellation:

- The Client has a 14-day window to cancel this agreement in writing. However, in the event of the Client canceling the session, the deposit paid is non-refundable and will be considered as liquidated damages to the Photographer.

- If the session is canceled with less than 24 hours' notice, the full basic session fee is retained to cover the loss of bookings for that date. This policy applies even if this contract hasn't been signed, as purchasing the session implies entering into a contract of sale.

2. Model Test Shoots and Headshots:

- In addition to the services provided, the Photographer offers specialised model test shoots and headshots for models and actors seeking portfolio updates.

- The terms and pricing for these services will be discussed and agreed upon separately between the Client and the Photographer.

3. Entire Agreement:

- This agreement contains the entire understanding between the Client and the Photographer.

4. Limit of Liability:

- If the Photographer is unable to attend the session due to illness or injury, an alternative date will be arranged. The Photographer cannot be held liable for any loss of earnings incurred due to missed sessions and will reschedule.

5. Retouching:

- The Photographer will retouch and edit photos that they deem presentable.

- The client must communicate any special requests, such as removing scarring, during the photo session. The Photographer may suggest editing certain distinguishing features, subject to the client's approval.

- The Photographer will do their best to remove distractions and enhance the overall appearance of the images.

6. Image Release:

- The Client provides the Photographer and its legal representatives, heirs, and assigns with irrevocable and unlimited consent to use the photographs for editorial, competition, advertising, and any other purpose.

- The Photographer is granted the right to alter the photographs without restriction and to maintain copyright over the images. By signing this agreement, the Client absolves the Photographer and its legal representatives, heirs, and assigns from all liability and claims associated with the images.

- Prior to booking, the Client may express a preference for certain images to remain private, which could impact the overall pricing of the session.

    1. Personal Use and Social Media:

    - You are allowed to make copies of the headshot images for personal use, including sharing them on your personal social media accounts.

    - Your headshot can be used on all social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc., to promote yourself professionally.

    2. Promotional Use, Press Releases and Publications:

    - You have our permission to use the headshot images for promotional purposes related to your services or business.

    - This includes utilising the headshot in print marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, business cards, or billboards.

    3. Alterations and Modifications:

    - Altering or modifying the headshot images, (excludes cropping), retouching, or adding filters, is strictly prohibited without prior written permission from the Photographer.

    - This policy ensures that the integrity of the original photograph is maintained and reflects the professional standards set by Leigh Dedhar Photography.

    It's important to note that any commercial use of the headshot images, such as selling or licensing them to third parties, requires explicit written consent from Leigh Dedhar Photography.

    5. RAW Images:

    The RAW files will remain the property of the Photographer and cannot be transferred to the client or purchased.

    Leigh Dedhar Photography provides specialised product photography services to enhance your brand’s visual identity. The following terms outline the usage rights and permissions for the images captured during your session:

    1. Copyright Ownership & Usage

    The copyright of all product images remains the property of Leigh Dedhar Photography. However, we understand the importance of using these images to promote your business effectively. Therefore, we grant you specific usage permissions under the following conditions:

    • You may use the images across all marketing platforms, including websites, social media, e-commerce listings, print materials, and digital advertising.

    • The images can be used for promotional purposes, such as brochures, flyers, packaging, and presentations.

    2. Prohibited Uses

    • Selling or licensing the images to third parties without explicit written consent from Leigh Dedhar Photography is strictly prohibited.

    • Editing or modifying the images (excluding simple cropping) is not permitted without prior written approval. This includes alterations such as retouching, applying filters, or changing the colour grading. These policies ensure the images maintain the professional quality and standards set by Leigh Dedhar Photography.

    3. Image Delivery

    • Final images will be delivered in high-resolution .jpg and web-optimised .jpg formats via a secure download link. This link will remain active for a minimum of 3 months.

    • If transparent background (.png) files are required, an additional charge will apply, which will be discussed and agreed upon before processing.

    4. RAW Files & Proprietary Materials

    The RAW and layered TIFF files remain the property of Leigh Dedhar Photography and will not be transferred or made available for purchase.

  • Leigh Dedhar Photography specialises in capturing the timeless beauty of newborns. This section outlines the terms and conditions specific to newborn photography sessions:

    1. Copyright and Usage Permissions:

    a. Personal Use and Sharing:

    b. Printed Materials:

    c. Commercial Use:

    - Commercial use of the newborn images, including promotional materials or advertisements for your business, requires explicit written consent from Leigh Dedhar Photography.

    2. RAW Images:

    The RAW files captured during the newborn session will remain the property of Leigh Dedhar Photography and cannot be transferred or purchased by the client.

    Editing and Retouching:

    Leigh Dedhar Photography holds full rights to select and edit images that best reflect our style and quality of work. During the editing process, any images that are not suitable for selection will be removed.

    Quantity of Edits:

    There is no minimum or maximum number of edited photos guaranteed from the newborn session. The photographer and client will discuss the session details, and expectations will be set accordingly.

    Sale Items:

    Leigh Dedhar Photography reserves the right to reduce the cost of newborn sessions or digital files periodically as part of promotions or sales. If you've previously paid full price, you are not eligible for the discounted price for items purchased at an earlier date.

    Limit of Liability:

    In the event that the photographer is unable to attend the newborn session due to unforeseen circumstances, an alternative date will be arranged. Leigh Dedhar Photography cannot be held liable for any consequential loss incurred due to missed sessions.

    Delivery of Images:

    The editing time for newborn images may vary and the photographer will provide an estimated lead time during the session. Unless agreed otherwise, the photographer will deliver digital images only, accessible through a secure download link. The link will be active for a minimum of 3 months.

Our model test shoots are designed to capture your unique style, personality, and versatility as a model. Here's what you can expect from a model test shoot session:

    - Professional photography session with multiple outfit changes and poses to showcase your versatility.=

    2. Number of Edits Delivered:

    - Following the session, you will receive a selection of edited images that best represent your unique style and showcase your modeling skills.

    - The number of edits delivered will vary depending on the package you choose and the specific requirements discussed during the consultation.

    3. Social Media Promotion and Tagging:

    - We encourage models to promote their test shoot session on social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter.

    - We kindly request that models repost and tag Leigh Dedhar Photography when sharing the images from the shoot.

    - By sharing the images and tagging our page, you help us reach a wider audience and showcase our collaborative work.

    4. Modelling Agency Collaboration:

    - We understand the importance of showcasing your modeling skills to your agency.

    - With your permission, we are happy to provide selected edited images from the test shoot for you to share with your modeling agency.

    - Sharing these images with your agency can help them evaluate your potential and increase your chances of securing future modeling opportunities.
